Woman of God

Woman of God

“A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.
A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her but a woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future a woman of strength realizes life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalizes on them.
A strong woman walks sure footedly but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.
A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face but a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.”

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”~Proverbs 31:30

Let Your will be done in me

Let Your will be done in me

“Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all Your creatures I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.”

Let Jesus put you back together again.

Let Jesus put you back together again.

“So you’ve come to the end of the line and you feel like you’re losing your mind. Your dreams are gone. You’re not strong anymore. Now your world’s a million pieces on the floor. All the hurts in your heart that just won’t heal. And love deep down inside you just can’t feel. Well I bring you good news in Jesus’ Name. He can put you back together again. Let Jesus put you back together again. And you’ll never go back where you’ve been. He’s waiting, but it’s all up to you. He wants to hold you and make you brand new. Just turn it over to the One who really cares. You can trust Him to always be there. Just reach out right now and take His Hand. Let Him put you back together again.”                                                   ~ “Let Jesus put you back together again” Lyrics by Betty Jean Robinson

Lead me Lord

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” Psalm 143:8

“Lead me Lord, lead me by the hand. And make me face the rising sun. Comfort me through all the pain that life may bring. There’s no other hope that I can lean upon. Lead me Lord lead me all my life walk by me, walk by me across the lonely road that I may face. Take my arms and let your hand show me the way, show the way to live inside your heart all my days, all my life. You are my light you’re the lamp upon my feet all the time my Lord I need You there You are my light. Lead me Lord even though at times I’d rather go alone my way. Help me take the right direction take Your road. Lead me Lord And never leave my side.”
~ Lead me Lord Lyrics

Wonderful Maker

Wonderful Maker

“You spread out the skies over empty space Said “let there be light” into a dark and formless world Your light was born. You spread out Your arms over empty hearts Said “let there be light” into a dark and hopeless world. Your Son was born You made the world and saw that it was good. You sent Your only son for You are good. What a wonderful Maker. What a wonderful Savior. How majestic Your whispers and how humble Your love. With a strength like no other and the heart of a Father. How majestic Your whispers what a wonderful God. No eye has fully seen, how beautiful the cross and we have only heard the faintest whispers of how great You are.”

Put your hope in God

Put your hope in God

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar. Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers have swept over me. By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life. I say to God my Rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?” My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, “Where is your God?” Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” ~ Psalm 42

Place your life before God

Place your life before God

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. I’m speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him. In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t. If you preach, just preach God’s Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don’t take over; if you teach, stick to your teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don’t get bossy; if you’re put in charge, don’t manipulate; if you’re called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don’t let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face. Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle. Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality. Bless your enemies; no cursing under your breath. Laugh with your happy friends when they’re happy; share tears when they’re down. Get along with each other; don’t be stuck-up. Make friends with nobodies; don’t be the great somebody. Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody. Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.” Our Scriptures tell us that if you see your enemy hungry, go buy that person lunch, or if he’s thirsty, get him a drink. Your generosity will surprise him with goodness. Don’t let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good.” ~ Romans 12MSG

Jesus’ Prayer for His Followers

Jesus’ Prayer for His Followers

“I’m praying not only for them but also for those who will believe in me. Because of them and their witness about me. The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind—Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, So they might be one heart and mind with us. Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me. The same glory you gave me, I gave them, so they’ll be as unified and together as we are—I in them and you in me. Then they’ll be mature in this oneness, and give the godless world evidence that you’ve sent me and loved them in the same way you’ve loved me.”
~ John 17:20-23Msg

None but Jesus

None but Jesus

“In the quiet, in the stillness I know that You are God. In the secret of Your presence I know there I am restored When You call I won’t refuse. Each new day again I’ll choose There is no one else for me, none but Jesus Crucified to set me free Now I live to bring Him praise. In the chaos, in confusion I know You’re Sovereign still. In the moment of my weakness You give me grace to do Your will. When You call I won’t delay. This my song through all my days. All my delight is in You Lord All of my hope, all of my strength. All my delight is in You Lord Forevermore.” ~ None but Jesus Lyrics Hillsong

Respect and Love one another

Respect and Love one another

“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.”
~1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
